I'd take 2nd in this race...

Bill Gates-

Everyone knows who Bill Gates is. Software giant Microsoft owner, a little charity named after him... The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation, and oh yeah... the richest man in the world. Chances are you are using his software to read this blog. You must live under a pretty big rock if you have never heard of Bill Gates.

Everyone knows who the richest man in the world is. So, who ranks #2? I find that while most people can answer who the richest is (minus the poor people you may see on Jaywalking with Jay Leno), they can seldom name the runner up. So who are the people in the picture above? Well... on the far right is Bill Gates. In the middle is his wife Melinda. The guy on the left? Bill Gates father? Nope. His name is Warren Buffet. So who is Warren Buffet? And why does he have so much money? What does he do?

Well, in short... you may find him in the dictionary under tycoon. Have you ever heard of Pampered Chef? He owns it. Have you ever heard of See's Candy? He owns it. Maybe, just maybe, you have heard of Dairy Queen or GIECO (I'm talking about the lizard and all)? You guessed it. He owns it. He has a giant holding company called Berkshire Hathaway, which holds many, many more. In fact this company has seen phenomenal growth over it's history. "Berkshire has grown its per-share book value by a remarkable 21% annually since Buffett took the reins 44 years ago"(Source).

There is so much information and history on this man that I could write a book on it. In fact many already have... several! I will conclude by saying if you have any interest in business, being a business owner, or even a tycoon yourself! Study this man. You won't be sorry.
